Sorry we did not have a challenge last friday. I had a vacation in Jamacia.
Sadly I am back to the cooler temps yet happy I'm back to crafts.

Finally Friday!

This Friday..Sometime's less is better.
Clean and Simple.

That means, no bling, no bows, and no badabing.

You can use layers for the background but keep the face of the card simple.

The Beauty of this kind of card, you can make a lot fast.

I used Stampin write makers and my aqua painter for this card on watercolor paper.

I love how it turned out.

I used one of my favorite retired stamp set Moon Lake. So if you buy sets and they retire, YES they are still good for a lifetime. Some people think because the stamp set is no longer for sale they need to get rid of it. Not true..

OK so now show me how easy it is to make a Clean and Simple card.

Today challenge is based around Western NY. For those of us who live in WNY, we know how long we have been cold and bundled up. It's been a long winter, a cold spring and now we FINALLY have warm weather.

Search your house for different things, buttons, clips, a piece of material, string, feathers etc. Use your imagination when searching for things.

Now choose a stamp set and go for it.

there's no right or wrong way to make a mixed media card.

Finally Friday Yay!!!

We have something a little different this Friday. An inspiration challenge.

 I found a pretty painted picture and took my inspiration from it.

From this picture I took out the colors:

Tempting Turquoise

Lemon Lime Twist

and 

Rose Red

and this is what I created... and actually, it was for a dear friends Birthday

So, using these 3 colors..... it's your turn!

Some weeks are tougher then others so we have another easy sketch challenge this week.

 It's hard to see in the photo but for my half circle, I used a doily. You can use a doily, half of a paper circle or half of an image, whatever makes you happy.

I also opted not to put a greeting on the front, no reason I just like it the way it was.

 I used the flower from butterfly basic
