Finally Friday !!!
Can you say Embossing paste?
This friday we are going to play with some embossing paste.
I have Stampin" Up! embossing paste.
If you don't have any fear not I have a simple recipe for you to make it. ( recipe below)
Now, you're wondering what our going to do with it. Well, almost anything you want. If you have a stencil you can use that. I used the brown stencil shown above.
No stencil? Well punch out any design or shape you want from cardstock and use that as a stencil.
Any leftover paste you can color it with an ink refill color spread it on your paper and use that as you back gound
I didn't spread mine smooth so it has a nice textured look
This card I made with the recipe below. My glue dried fast so I added a little water. I also colored it with the SU ink refills
Embossing paste recipe
1/2 cup powder. any kind...baby powder talc etc.
1 tablespoon Elmers glue ( any kind of glue works)
a little water if needed
If you want it colored, you can use any acrylic paint, ground up chalk, or ink refill. just add until its the color you desire. Remember tho the more Acrylic paint you add the longer it will take to dry. Ground up chalk dries fastest
Store in sealed tight container
This also works well if you want to make snow. Also, add a little color and dab on with a paintbrush or Q-tip to make leaves. the possibilities are endless.
Sooooo get out your Embossing paste or whip some up and have some fun!
Don't forget to show us what you make !!
