A stamping friend was playing the other day and I thought I'd share. She did a technique that I haven't played with in awhile. So yes she reminded me of the technique and I had to do some as well.

Here's her pretty cards done using wax paper resist.

Foiled again

Yep that's right..play with foil or foil card stock.

Any color foil card stock and if you don't have foil card stock use foil paper. You can adhere it to card stock and come up with the same effect.

Ideas:

Emboss the foil

Color the foil

use punches or dies and cut out the foil

possibilities are endless.

Here's my card with a few different views because it's shinny and hard to photo.

I choose to emboss and color the foil. It looked pretty but was quit busy so I only added a simple butterfly. I didn't add  any thing else to the front so I can actually make this card into anything i want. birthday, get well etc.

Nothing wrong with a little alcohol when it's in markers.

I used alcohol markers to color these bright and cheery flowers.

Ok So Here's your challenge.

Grab 2 die cuts, any kind you want or have handy.

Next grab blue paper, any shade you'd like

Now make a card. your card must include the 2 dies and blue paper.

Both my flowers and the die across the bottom have dazzling diamonds on the. It's very sparkly

Finally Friday

Finally Friday will be  touch late. It's been a challenging week. Sorry for the delay.

On a good note, I played around in the beginning of the week with a new technique I came up with and I really haven't seen anyone do it yet. Doesn't  mean it hasn't been done I've just never run across it yet. I will post more when I'm done experimenting.

Tried a new technique last night and I LOVE it !

Finally Friday Challenge # 11

Vellum

Vellum is so versatile. There's so many things you can do with it. Lets see what YOU can do with it.

 Here's my versions.

I used white embossing powder on the vellum, cut my flower and butterfly out and added a little color to them.


Now if you need some ideas.
On my cards above I embossed white embossing powder on the vellum and cut my images out but you can also....
emboss your vellum with an embossing folder giving it a pretty effect.

Another idea, you can punch out a flower or image, flip it over. I used a embossing tool but you can use anything with a hard point. Make sure its not a piercing point but a soft round point. EX: end of a spoon, a pen cap etc.
after you have embossed your image on the vellum, flip it over and you will see the pretty effect you made.
